Great location. Lovingly decorated. Well equipped. Clean and quiet. We stayed here as a family of four with two young children. Every detail is attended to: The house manager kindly placed a high chair in our kitchen, umbrellas were available in the hall, pantry essentials were on hand, including coffee! Restaurants and a grocery story are close in, and it was easy to reach the subway, buses, and the ferry.

This is SSSB’s largest and most well-known student housing area. Several thousand students live here in their very own part of the city, a mere five-minute walk from Stockholm University. The mix of Swedish and international students and families with children creates a unique atmosphere.


The area is primarily home to traditional halls of residence – single rooms on student corridors. However there are also student apartments of varying sizes – from one to four rooms – as well as a preschool and several playgrounds.

Lappis was built between 1968 and 1970. Professorsslingan 10 was built in 2000. Professorsslingan 47-53 was built 2020.
